kanye west - runaway (movie)

My thoughts on the film: 

Wow, Kanye has definitely innovated the rap game with this one. The vision and how it was directed makes is remarkable. This is Art: Mr. West started this film off brilliantly. If you listen carefully to the song in the beginning, he sends out a subliminal message that gives a brief description of the rise of his career. The first scene takes off, we see Kanye living his lavish life; blistering through the woods in his expensive sports car. In the song he states,”I fantasized about this back in Chicago. Mercy, mercy me, that Murcielago. That’s me, the first year that I blow. How you say broke in Spanish? Me no hablo. Me drown sorrow in that Diablo. Me found bravery in my bravado.” A blast from the past; spending money unconsciously to fulfill happiness and depression. Having made it, his ego grows uncontrollably to the point where greed becomes a problem and hate susceptible. 

“First rule in this world baby, don’t pay attention to anything you see on the news.” 

“Your girlfriend’s really beautiful. Thank you. Do you know she’s a bird? No I never noticed that…”
